Wellbeing Week 2025
Scoil Naomh Fiachra had a fantastic Wellbeing Week making friendship bracelets, practicing yoga, well-being walks, meditation and many more mindful classroom activities. We finished the week off on Friday with 'Heroes Day' by lining up to spell 'Cairdeas' as a whole school and some teachers braved the ice bucket challenge for Laura Lynn.

Heritage in Schools - May 2025
Ms Ferry and Ms Clarke's 4th Classes visited Rathmullan Beach with Heritage in School specialists Aenghus Kennedy and Noel Foley. They studied the beach habitat during their visit.
Well done to Ms Duffy's 5th Class who organised a successful fundraiser day for 'Relay for Life.' They also featured on Highland Radio to talk about their event.

At our Junior Infants lunchtime play club, children dive into a world of construction, loose parts play, sensory exploration, and imaginative building—developing creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and fine motor skills through engaging, purposeful play.

Cumann na mBunscol May 2025
Congratulations to our girl's Gaelic team who got their first run out in their brand new kit sponsored by Sean Hegarty & Sons and designed by Laoise
The new kit came with 3 victories today in the regional round of Cumann na mBunscol. The girls now advance to the quarter finals
FAI 5 a side County Championship April 2025
Our Girls team, who put in some brilliant performances, but we're just pipped to a place in the final, finishing in 3rd place overall
Our Boys team, who lost agonizingly 3-2 right at the end of extra time in the final, finishing runners up on the day
Book Launch - Ms Duffy's 5th Class - April 2025
Ms. Duffy’s fifth class are pictured at the launch of their book - “When I grow up”.
Each pupil in the class wrote about what they would like to do when they grow up. They drew beautiful illustrations to go with the words they wrote.
They celebrated the launch with a party in their classroom on the 4th of April.
Well done to all!

Ms Devenney's 5th Class have been keeping eggs in an incubator. There has been great egg-citement when we found out that the eggs have hatched and we now have babys chicks at school!!!!!!

A brilliant afternoon of questions between the students of all the 5th and 6th classes. A mixture of general knowledge, sport, music, famous landmarks, famous faces and "what happened next?", were on the menu, with plenty of discussion amongst the teams!!

Many families enjoyed the School Christmas party organised by our Parent's Association.
Everyone enjoyed the games, raffles, treats and Santa's visit was a highlight of the day!
Rang a Sé visited the Trade Fair at Loreto Letterkenny in November
November 2024: Pupils in 6th Class visited Errigal College where they visited the STEM lab for Coding, the Science laboratory, the Home Economics kitchen and the Woodwork room. It gave them an enjoyable insight into life at Errigal College.
Our 4th Class Pupils travelled to Belfast to rehearse for the upcoming 'Peace Proms.'
Pupils in our sixth classes travelled to Croke Park where our boys team got chance to play a blitz with other schools from across Ireland. A bus of supporters also travelled and they visited the wax museum in Dublin after the match.
